Happening this month
Special Event
We will be closed until 3:00 pm May 16th for a
special event. Please stop by to
paint, build glass or pick up projects after 3:00 on the 16th…thanks!

Don’t forget MOM!
There is still time to create a great custom-made gift for
Mother’s Day. How about a special
serving dish or a great coffee mug or even a glass
mother’s bracelet. To guarantee a
pottery project by the big day you’ll need to make it in by Friday the 2nd.
Can’t make it by the 2nd? We can get glass projects back to you in
as few as 3 days! Consider our glass kits.
No glass class necessary and we have earrings, pendants, bowl and frame kits.
And, of course, we always have gift
certificates available.
Cinco
de Mayo & Spa Nights
Diva nights are SPECIAL this month! We have two great evenings planned for
you. Thursday, May 1st we
are having a Cinco (well, Uno)
de Mayo party. Paint a margarita
glass and get 15% off. Or, just come in for the great Mexican food and
decorations and have a fun-filled evening with your friends. There will be a blender available for
those who wish to create their own margaritas…loaded or not!
Tuesday the 20th is mom or not spa night. We’ll have special guests that evening to
help us all relax. Look forward to
special spa treats! We can’t wait to
see you there, so many of you have told us that painting and playing with
glass is better than therapy. Come,
relax, share time with your friends and participate in spa night!
Don’t forget to call us to reserve your spot!
Technique of the Month
Scratch technique is a little messy but, WE clean up the mess for you, so no worries! Add it to your whimsical artistry bag of
tricks. Begin by applying 3 full
coats of glaze to your project.
Then, using a toothpick or stylus, remove glaze down to the bare
bisque in either random or regular patterns to create a white design. The end product
will appear to be carved into the glaze.
This works best on damp, but not wet, glaze so if you are doing this
to a large area (as the cake plate in the photo was) you should do one area
at a time. This is a great way to
doodle in pottery. Get your doodle
on and have fun!
Meet
the Staff
Meet Tina B. creative consultant & glass
circle cutter extraordinaire. She is
a great organizer and has a knack for quilting, including her fabulous
glass quilting techniques! She would
LOVE to share them with you. She is
happy to help with great ideas about projects of all shapes and sizes. Check out her glass weaving technique
platter, it is quite beautiful. If
you haven’t had a chance to meet Tina, hurry, hurry! We’ll be
saying farewell to her as she follows her hubby to his job in Greenwood sometime
over the summer. But,
for now, she’s ours! So, come in and chat with her and pick her creative brain.
